Our IADA-CVR program saves your dealershipmoney with a proven, secured, and streamlined process for your customer’s title and registration process, eliminating the need to write checks, pay remitters and track costly and time consuming errors. All this is accomplished while you generate revenue rather than pay for the process. On behalf of IADA and CVR, we want to make sure you’re not forfeiting any of this increased revenue and efficiency in the formof SOS financial penalties for unaccounted inventory. The IL Secretary of State mandates that all clients are billed $125 for each unaccounted for plate or sticker. CVR is man- dated to generate this billing each month and remit dealer fees directly to the SOS. Dealer Principals, please check with your title and F&I de- partments to insure that they have proper resources allocated and processes in place so that you are not responsible for any such fees! It is the intent of IADA & CVR that no client should ever pay fines for unaccounted for inventory, but we need you to make it a priority for your staff as well! On behalf of IADA, thank you for using our IADA-CVR pro- gram. We appreciate your partnership, and ask that you contact our office if we can be of any assistance with this process or any other association issues. Update on Lease Tax Bill House Bill 2317 which changes the tax base for motor vehicle leases from the selling price of the leased vehicle to the amount of the lease payments, failed to be called for a vote in the Illinois House Senate on the last day of the legislative spring session! While we were disappointed HB 2317 did not get called for a vote, we feel optimistic this legislation could be considered in the fall veto session. During the summer months we ask dealers to visit with a House member and ask that they favorably consider this legislation during the veto session! IADA appreciates your support, and will continue to keep everyone up to date as we continue to work on this legislation.
