IADA’s Legislative Conference was held on May 7th in Springfield at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel and Conference Center. This event allowed our dealers to get involved with the legislative process and help shape the outcome of dealer issues. Not only were dealers updated on the latest legislative initiatives impacting their dealership, but they learned what the ideal new- car dealership of 2025 will look like and how it will operate! The Legislative Conference included speakers: GlennMercer, author of the NADA on Facility Upgrades and dealerships of the future, and Illinois Republican Senator, Kirk Dillard. I would also like to thank all of the dealer members and sponsors who made our 2013 IADA-CATA State Conference so successful. We had a wonderful group of attendees participate in the April 3rd-7th conference held at the Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort/Spa in Marco Island, FL. The conference agenda included speakers: NADAChairman, David Westcott, and TRUECar CEO, Scott Painter, several dealer board meetings, plenty of opportunities for dealers to socialize and discuss industry information, all topped off with a Casino Night Marco Style. We have used many of the following pages to showcase pho- tos of both Conferences. I would like to offer our most sincere thanks to our sponsors who helped make these events possible.
