A FEW RECENT LEGISLATIVE HIGHLIGHTS (These proposals have all been addressed in the past few years) IADA passed legisla Ɵ on to raise the allowable doc. fee to $150. IADA passed legisla Ɵ on to allow dualing of mul Ɵ ple franchises under one roof. IADA passed legisla Ɵ on preven Ɵ ng manufacturers from owning or opera Ɵ ng dealerships in Illinois. IADA passed legislation providing surviving dealerships with stronger termination rights. IADA passed legisla Ɵ on exemp Ɵ ng dealers from a rental tax when loaner vehicles are issued under provisions of a warranty or service contract. IADA passed legisla Ɵ on to strengthen the IL Motor Vehicle Franchise Act (parts reimbursement at retail rate, double the Ɵ me up to 30 days to Į le a protest, award expert witness fees, include coverage for truck engines, transmissions and real axles, and more). IADA defeated legisla Ɵ on that would have created an unfair Gross Receipts Tax. IADA defeated legisla Ɵ on that would create a 3-day cooling o ī period for vehicles. IADA passed legisla Ɵ on reducing manufacturers audit period from 18 to 12 months for all incen Ɵ ve and reimbursement claims. IADA defeated legisla Ɵ on that would eliminate the dealer’s 1 ¾ % Retailers Collec Ɵ on Allowance.
